Go-to-Market Strategy & Execution

International Education Example

If we build it . . . will they come?

  • Universities strive to deliver high-impact educational experiences to differentiate themselves and cultivate culturally aware graduates. While over 40% of college students express interest in studying abroad, only 3% actually take the leap.

  • Develop a comprehensive go-to-market strategy and marketing content plan to boost student enrollment for a multi-course summer study abroad program in Barcelona.

  • Integrated digital marketing campaign to raise awareness and drive student engagement. Coordinated with client, who conducted on-campus marketing efforts such as class visits, tabling, info sessions, and other events.

Digital campaign ensured we were meeting students where they are and included:

    • Web presence with lead capture

    • Email automation to continue engagement

    • Digital posters for AV screens throughout campus

    • Versatile print-ready digital flyers and postcards with QR codes to the landing page

    • Curated social media campaign unveiling courses, housing, activities, scholarship opportunities, application deadlines, and more

    • After year 1: Leveraged alumni for on-campus events, class visits and word-of-mouth marketing

Result

  • 166% growth from year 1 to 3

  • Increased course offering in year 2

  • Added 2 sessions with multiple course options in year 3

  • Added even more courses for Barcelona location in year 4

  • Expanded to a new location in Costa Rica in year 4
